Step 1: Specify intervention actions

EVIDENCE ON PREVENTIVE INTERVENTIONS IN ADOLESCENCE (from approximately 15 to 18 years of age)*

Some interventions have been developed in adolescents to improve individual factors, such as skills, and others focus on the family, school, community and legal issues. Other interventions in this age group are based on strategies such as information campaigns in the media. The following information on these interventions is available:

  • Regulatory measures for advertising and access to alcohol and tobacco. +
  • Brief early detection and health counselling interventions. +
  • Educational interventions to teach personal and social skills and work on social influence. +
  • Multicomponent community interventions. +
  • Preventive interventions in the workplace. +
  • Interventions related to drugs policy and the culture in schools. +
  • Preventive interventions in leisure spaces. +
  • Interventions aimed at psychological vulnerabilities. +
  • Tutoring interventions (mentoring). +
  • Social media campaigns. +
