Step 1: Specify intervention actions

PREVENTION INTERVENTIONS IN CHILDHOOD (approximately 6 to 10 years of age)*

At the childhood stage, there is evidence for the effectiveness of interventions that focus on parents, children and the school environment, as detailed below:

  • Interventions to improve parenting skills (nurturing and educating the child). +
  • Educational interventions (school) to teach personal and social skills. +
  • Interventions to improve the classroom environment. +
  • Multicomponent community interventions. +
  • Interventions aimed at preventing school absenteeism. +
  • Interventions that work on psychological vulnerabilities. +
